His works and his compositions influenced the best musicians and composers of that period and made Tango themusic we now love and appreciate, the music that has also seduced millions of new tango fanatics around the world who after their first dance have decided to tango on for ever.

As Carlos Gardel is the key figure of Tango’s classic era, Piazzolla is the key figure, developer and inspiration of the New Tango era. On July 4, 1992 the Tango world cried over Piazzolla’s death.
